Discover Zadar through these and many other stories and lines of the somewhat forgotten parts of the rich Zadar past.

The application also contains a photo gallery with photos of the most beautiful sights of Zadar. Set the homescreen wallpaper, or share these photos with all your friends.

Zadar Tourist Board has prepared an Android application named Secret Zadar as the first of such applications in Croatia connecting modern technology and the hidden history of the city. The application can be applied on the so-called smart phones that turn the android operative system, and soon on iPhone devices.

The logo and icon application are inspired by the ground plan of the Zadar church Stomorica whose key shape invites the application users to “open” and discover many unknown details from the history of the city of Zadar.

The well-known Zadar chronicler, Abdulah Seferović, has prepared a choice of less known and unexpected details from the wealthy history of Zadar, and each one is accompanied by a history photograph.

Even though the application is in the English language and is, first of all, intended for foreign visitors, it will also encourage numerous inhabitants of Zadar to use it for Secret Zadar is an easily accessible and very interesting source of information “in the palm of one’s hand”. All the lines have a marked place on the map, which, besides the location of interest, show the current location.

The map uses the newest Android GoogleMaps API v2., and also contains a photo gallery of the most beautiful Zadar scenes that can be placed in the background display, distributed among social networks or sent by e-mail. Each photograph is connected to the mobile page of the Zadar Tourist Board and offers more information on cultural monuments.
